A new sewing project was started in Wanica, Suriname, under the supervision of Susanne Lugard. We intend to train several talented individuals, who would be able to proceed to give courses throughout the country. In New Nickerie we have supported many kids in Suriname with Child Aid Suriname (Lobi Pikien), this has long been and remains colorful in terms of people and environment. Although in Suriname increasing medical facilities are available, there remains the need to provide first aid lessons. The fact is that people in remote communities or without medical facilities, need to be educatedon what to do in situations requiring first aid. It is in the interest of all that in a country five times the size of the Netherlands as many people as possible know first aid which save lives, read about what you can do!
